Note 3 Tara Lovistei is located
on "Valea Oltului" between Caineni and Calimanesti and
along the Lotru River Valley. A few large towns close to Tara Lovistei
are Calimanesti and Valcea on River Olt Valley; and a few
villages on Lotru valley: Brezoi, Voineasa, Malaia, Valea lui Stan
(new village of Rroms.) Between the River Olt and River Topolog
is the old ethnographic zone TOPOLOG, today a mixture between Arges,
Sibiu, and Valcea.
Interesting details: In Romanian "lotru"
means outlaw. It is said the that the outlwas (haiduci) Voinea,
Mãlai, and Breazu
estabilished the villages of Voineasa, Brezoi, and Malaia.
